SXSW 2016 Redux Event

At POSSIBLE, we believe external collaboration fosters new ideas, perspectives, and ultimately relationships. We invited local influential speakers to our Seattle office to give us their two cents, pro tips, and how to sift through the presentations at the South by Southwest Interactive (SXSWi) conference in Austin, Texas.

SPEAKERS

Heather Bauer – Co-director of Development, Ronald McDonald House
Gareth Jones – Managing Director, POSSIBLE Seattle
Brian Rauschenbach – CEO and Co-founder, Seattle Interactive Conference
Darshana Tuladhar – User Researcher, Blink UX
Tom Columbus – Interaction Designer, Blink UX
Doug Zanger – North America Editor at Large, The Drum
Andrew Grinaker – Associate Director of Content Strategy, POSSIBLE Seattle
Brian Coonce – Creative Director, POSSIBLE Seattle

Heather kicked off the evening by announcing that Shane Atchison—POSSIBLE’s global CEO—would be participating in the Ronald McDonald House Men in Kilts competition to raise money for their charity.

The rest of our speakers dove into a pecha kucha style of presenting which only allows 20 slides of content that rotates automatically after only 20 seconds. While this style definitely keeps you on your toes, our speakers eloquently spoke about the future of virtual reality, autonomous sensory meridian response, 3D printed (and edible) pizza, and McDonald’s virtual pop-up lounge.

A huge thank-you to our speakers, we are really looking forward to next year’s SXSW event. We are always honored to have new perspectives and ideas shared in our office from such brilliant people.
