Coca-Cola America's Park Contest

Coca-Cola sought to show their support for America’s parks as a vital resource for active, healthy living. To help with this effort, we developed the Coca-Cola’s America Is Your Park contest. The contest engaged socially active and influential American Moms looking for ways to keep their families healthy, while reassuring consumers of Coca-Cola’s commitment to building a healthy future.

Coca-Cola pledged $100,000 to help rebuild a winning park - chosen by American voters. The America Is Your Park website and mobile app allowed users to vote with Foursquare check-ins and MapMyFitness activity logs. They were also encouraged to rally their networks for their community park on Instagram and Twitter with #takeittothepark.

The program resulted in over 359 million impressions, 1.5 million votes, and over 72,000 total hours of logged activity - but the best result was one we never saw coming. As the voting narrowed, Veteran’s Memorial Park in Moore, Oklahoma - recently devastated by a tornado - was among the leaders. Voters across the country set their own neighborhood’s interests aside and threw their support behind the Moore community. 

In November, 83,000 workouts and fourteen million calories resulted in twelve shovels breaking ground.
